NCP tasks Nigerians on funding for PRONACO conference
Special Correspondent, Osogbo
National Conscience Party (NCP), Osun State chapter, has called on Nigerians to make financial contributions towards the convocation of the "national” conference being planned by the Pro-National Conference Organisations (PRONACO) for October 1 this year.
Osun State chairman of the party, Alhaji Waheed Lawal, made the call in Osogbo, the state capital.
Noting that contributing in cash was the only way the masses could show the present administration that they were tired of the its style of governance in the country, especially the recent hike in the prices of petroleum products.
The NCP boss, who advocated absolute cooperation with the conveners of the proposed conference, pointed out that the expected recommendations of the conference were certain to bail the country out of the present mess and hardship.
Lawal maintained that was the best forum to table issues that had plagued the growth of the nation, with a view to ensuring a better future for the people.
He said: "The conveners of the conference are Nigerians that had worked so hard and tirelessly to be what they are today, and had never stolen public funds to survive.
"So, we should all cooperate and make our little donations as a sense of belonging for the success of the conference".
